How to Adopt a Dog from Plantation Dog Rescue
If for any reason a dog goes to its new home before it is neutered proof will be needed in the future to say that it has been neutered as soon as possible.
Prospective owners are asked to ring before they come to look around. (We are not only a rescue but a boarding kennels and cattery as well so please do not turn up unannounced because we run to a strict schedule on the boarding side.)
When you do come to look around you will be asked to fill in a form to try to match the right dog to you and your family. Once a reserve has been put on a dog a homecheck or vet check will be done, and the new owner must visit the dog at least three times (arranged with the staff) before it goes home.
We will ask you fill in a form with your specifications and some questions about your lifestyle. We will then let you know which dogs might be suitable for your lifestyle and needs.
The dogs on the website have keys which let you know how it might be living with children, other animals etc.
We are honest about the dogs and always try to give as much information as we can about them to prospective owners. It would not benfit the dog or the owners to try and match the wrong dog to the wrong home.
If for any reason the homing doesn't work out owners must bring the dog back to us. (Dogs must never be given away to anyone else).
The price for male dogs is £100, the price for female dogs is £150.00 this is because it costs us much more to neuter the females. We will only rehome to people aged 25 years old or over.
